QPR are running a personal development and life skills programme for ex-service personnel.
Funded by the Royal British Legion and with support from Sporting Force, SSAFA and Help for Heroes, QPR will be doing its bit to tackle the issues faced by many once leaving the military services. With a disproportionate amount in prison or homeless we will be supporting these men and women to access work or return to education.
Our 10 week training programme will start on 10th August.
It will run for two days a week and will contain a number of life skills workshops, qualifications and sport/physical activity sessions to boost fitness, self-esteem and social capital of participants.
Participants will get to network with local employers and visit places of work as well as complete volunteering and work experience at the Trust and the Football Club.
Spaces are filling up so if anyone knows of any friends or family members that would like to get involved then please contact Jack Kelley by calling 0208 740 2561 or email [email protected].
