QPR players past and present – along with a host of generous supporters and members of staff – have done a brilliant job in getting behind the club’s #WalkFromHome campaign this week.
The campaign challenges you to sponsor your own piece of exercise in aid of the QPR Tiger Cubs Down’s syndrome team and then nominate three friends to do the same.
More than £7,000 has now been donated through the campaign and it is hoped that another £5,500 can be raised to help QPR in the Community Trust reach its sponsorship target of £12,500.
Walk, donate, nominate
Speaking earlier in the week, QPR Trust CEO Andy Evans said: “It’s been a brilliant start to the campaign and hopefully we can keep it going. We’re determined to beat our sponsorship target of £12,500 and I've seen lots of pictures of QPR fans, staff and players on their walks.
“Our annual Tiger Feet walks are always so important, in terms of the money they raise for the Tigers Cub team; it allows us to keep the team running and take them to special events and purchase new equipment.
“If #WalkFromHome could help us raise a similar amount of money to previous Tiger Feet walks then that would be fantastic.”
