LONDON United is a fantastic organisation set up to link all the London Footballing Community together with community Trust’s from all over the capital working together to bring their skills and knowledge to engaged disadvantaged groups of people.
QPR in the Community Trust has linked up with other high-profile club’s community arms, including: the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Arsenal in the Community and Charlton Athletic Community Trust, to deliver a greater collective impact across the capital.
This involves work on our Premier League charitable projects, such as: Premier League Kicks and Primary stars initiatives which are funding by the Premier League to help use the power of sport to improve lives.
Most recently QPR in the Community Trust joined up with London United to help tackle physical inactivity of girls in disadvantaged areas across London, with the likes of Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Charlton helping more than 5,000 women to participate in football and physical activity sessions.
Trust CEO Andy Evans, explained to www.qpr.co.uk about the partnership, by saying: “Working collaboratively through London United will allow us to apply for London wide funding.
“As well this it will help us to fundraise as a collective which will help sustain or begin work which will reach some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Capital.
“The partnership is also a great opportunity for us to network and share our best practice and ideas.”
