QPR in the Community Trust are delighted to be amongst the Young London Summer and Autumn 2020 funding from the Mayor’s Young Londoners fund.
The Mayor created the Young Londoners Fund to help London’s children and young adults make the most of our amazing city.
The Mayor’s £45 million Young Londoners Fund will help children and young people to fulfil their potential, particularly those at risk of getting caught up in crime. It will support a range of education, sport, cultural and other activities for children and young people. The fund will see £30 million made available for projects in local communities. The remaining £15 million will be invested to expand existing projects funded by City Hall that support young Londoners.
The projects that have received this funding include everything from theatre groups and employability training, to football clubs and art sessions.
After receiving the fund Michael Nyarko, QPR Trust’s Youth and Communities manager told www.qpr.co.uk: “Receiving the funding will be very helpful.
“It is much needed during a tough time and will be used to support our much-needed younger participants, as we try and return to a somewhat normal level of delivery.”
