LAST week Queens Park Rangers Community Trust held a walking football tournament in memory of one of our good friends Rob Kent who sadly passed away last November.
We had over 100 players take part on the pitch at Loftus Road as a celebration of Rob’s life and everything he did for the Community Trust.
Rob was a very kind-hearted man who not only played a fundamental part in setting up QPR’s walking football team but he also participated in many fundraising events including Tiger Feet.
The tournament managed to raise £528 which we will evenly split between the Trust and Bowl Cancer UK. Additional we also had over 200 food donations for the local bank.
Commenting on the event Rob’s brother Richard said: “I would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone. It was overwhelming that so many teams made an effort to come to Loftus Road to celebrate Rob’s memory in such a brilliant way.”
