THE SimplyHealth Great South 5K run takes place on Saturday 19th October and young R’s fan George Sharp is training hard once again in aid of QPR in the Community Trust.
11-year-old George will be running through the heart of Southsea, with the course starting at Clarence Esplanade, going past Clarene Pier and Southsea Common before finishing up at Pyramids Centre on the sea front, providing fantastic, scenic views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
George, who will be running in his fourth event for QPR in the Community Trust, will be presented with a QPR shirt on the pitch ahead of the Blackburn Rovers fixture on October 5th, as we aim to support him in what we hope will be his best challenge yet.
Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, George expressed his pride at raising money for QPR in the Community Trust. He explained: “I am so privileged and honoured to be representing QPR. I am so excited for the event this month and I know all the money that I raise goes to such a fantastic charity. That is why I continue to run and hopefully I can raise as much as possible.”
