Away Fans' Guide: AFC Bournemouth

AND JUST like London buses, two away games come at once!

Following the international break, Rangers returned to Sky Bet Championship action in dramatic fashion at the weekend, with Stefan Johansen’s late goal clinching a share of the points in Berkshire and maintaining the Super Hoops' unbeaten start to the campaign.

Mark Warburton’s side are on their travels once again this evening (Tuesday), as they prepare for a trip to the South Coast to face AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

A sold-out QPR away end will once again greet the R’s when they take to the field, ensuring for an electric atmosphere at the home of the Cherries.

As a result, we have prepared this useful away fan guide, to ensure that you have everything you need to know ahead of our clash down the M3.

COVID Protocols

As we look to limit the risk of COVID-19 transmission, QPR management and players are not able to sign autographs or pose for photos at this time. We look forward to when normality can return but ask all supporters to understand and respect the reasons behind this.

Ticket Info

The QPR Box Office would like to advise supporters that tickets for this fixture are now SOLD OUT.

Please do not travel to the Vitality Stadium without a valid match ticket.

Travelling R’s supporters who are making the trip to Bournemouth will be located in the Energy Consulting East Stand, which is located on one side of the pitch.

The stadium is a modern ground having only been opened in 2001, however there are a couple of supporting pillars in the stands, meaning that supporters' view of the pitch may be slightly obstructed.

However, the modern facilities and comfortable seating will hopefully be mixed with an impressive performance from the R’s to make it an enjoyable trip south for Rangers fans.

Driving Directions

When driving to the stadium, it is advised to leave the A338 towards Bournemouth, with the ground situated on the left of the A338. Leave the A3338 via the slip road which is signposted Kings Park/Football Traffic, take the second exit onto Kings Park Drive and the entrance to the stadium will be on your left-hand side.

Free matchday parking is available at Harewood College, which is only a 10-minute walk away, across the park to the stadium. Parking is also available to the south of the ground, for a price of just £1.

If choosing to park outside the stadium, supporters are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Public Transport

Regular trains run from London Waterloo to Bournemouth Central which is located roughly half an hour's walk away from the stadium, it is advised to head to Pokesdown which is only a mile away from the stadium.

Regular taxi services run from both stations to the ground.

Pubs & Stadium Refreshments

The majority of the local pubs don’t welcome travelling supporters, however the Mello Mello bar on Christchurch Road, which is only a 15-minute walk from the stadium does. Otherwise, it is suggested to head into town for your pre-match refreshments.

Refreshments are also available at the stadium, with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks available.
