QPR travel to Derby County tomorrow (Tuesday) night - looking for a first away win of the season. The R’s will be keen to bounce back from Saturday’s narrow defeat to Aston Villa at Loftus Road, but who should we be keeping a close eye on at Pride Park?
Derby’s top-scorer this season - and arguably their most dangerous player in the final third. Matej Vydra has enjoyed a fine start to the 2017/18 season, scoring the latest of his eight goals so far this campaign in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Fulham. With three of those goals arriving in his last four appearances, the R’s will need to pay special attention to the Czech attacker, whose movement often gets him in behind defenders, allowing him the time and space to cause problems.
- Work ethic
The Rams bolstered their midfield options with the signing of free agent Joe Ledley this summer. The Welsh international midfielder, who has made seven Championship appearances so far in a Rams shirt, is slowly but surely beginning to find his feet for Gary Rowett’s side and is a class act on his day. His work ethic, combined with his fine passing capabilities, make him a key component of the Rams midfield. The experienced Ledley is certainly one Rangers’ three-man midfield need to keep tabs on at Pride Park.

- Work ethic
A tireless worker, model professional and clinical finisher, David Nugent leads the line with some distinction at Pride Park. An injury on his debut forced him to bide his time in a Rams shirt, but once he got his chance he never looked back as he produced a number of standout displays leading the Derby front-line. Goals have never been a problem for Nugent over his 15 years as a professional, with over 150 to his name prior to joining the Rams. His ever-improving partnership with Vydra is certainly one to be wary of, with the duo having contributed 12 goals between them so far this season.
