QPR Ladies boss Martino Chevannes has challenged his players to bounce back from their opening day defeat when they host Swindon Ladies on Sunday.
Chevannes’ side were thumped 9-0 at Crystal Palace last weekend, but the R’s boss is in determined mood ahead of the visit of the Robins to Uxbridge FC on Sunday - 2.00pm kick-off.
“Obviously the final scoreline wasn’t what we wanted last weekend, but there were aspects of our performance that pleased me, especially in the first half, when we gave a good account of ourselves,” he said.
“We won’t dwell on that result though and our focus is on Sunday’s fixture against Swindon, who themselves were heavily beaten on the opening day.
“This already feels like a big game and it’s important we bounce back from last weekend and build on the positives that we took from that fixture.”
