QPR LADIES will hope to inspire the next generation this weekend, with hundreds of local girls expected for Sunday’s FA Women’s Premier League fixture against West Ham United.
It follows QPR’s recent Inspirational Girls Festival which saw QPR in the Community Trust and QPR Ladies come together to help inspire young girls through engagement.
Around 300 free tickets have been distributed to several west London schools for Sunday’s game, and manager Martino Chevannes is looking forward to welcoming them to Honeycroft.
“It will be great for the players to play in front of a big crowd,” Chevannes told www.qprlfc.co.uk. “Hopefully we can give them something to cheer about.
“For the majority of them it’ll be their first experience of women’s football so we want to put on a show for them and give them a day to remember.
“Hopefully we can come away with three points too!”
Following the game, both sets of players will be available to sign autographs and pose for selfies.
Sunday’s FA WPL game is taking place at Uxbridge FC, kick-off 2:00 pm.
