QUEENS Park Rangers’ Under-23s continued their pre-season campaign at the weekend with a 3-2 victory over Braintree Town.
Despite being two goals down at the break, a resurgent second-half display, double from Sean Adarkwa and a fine effort from Sinclair Armstrong wrapped up an impressive victory for the R’s in the end.
Femi Akinwande gave the hosts the lead in the 37th minute, with a smart finish. Alfie Payne then doubled Braintree’s advantage on the stroke of half-time.
But, following the break, a much-improved Rangers performance eventually paid dividends.
Adarkwa got the ball rolling in the 57th minute, before a wonderful effort from Armstrong made it all-square with 20 minutes left on the clock.
Frontman Adarkwa then completed the comeback in the 77th minute when he slotted home.
