QPR Under-23s continued their pre-season campaign at the weekend with a tough clash against National League South side Eastbourne Borough.
Following a 4-1 defeat at Hayes & Yeading last week - with Charley Kendall scoring a consolation in the 4-1 reverse - Sinclair Armstrong’s 68th-minute strike also wasn't enough this time around, with three first-half goals from hosts Eastbourne condemning the R’s to a 3-1 loss.
Strikes in the 25th, 43rd and 44th minutes were enough to seal the victory for Eastbourne, as they prepare for next week’s season opener with Hampton & Richmond Borough.
QPR U23s are back in action this evening (Tuesday) when we travel to Worthing for our final pre-season clash before the campaign gets underway next week against Hull City.
QPR XI: Trialist, Carlyle, Gubbins, Trialist, Domi (Woollard-Innocent 45’), Conte (De Silva 55’), Drewe, Alfa (Trialist 65’), Bansal-McNulty (Frailing 65’), Duke-McKenna (Aoraha 55’), Armstrong.
