BETWEEN our B Team and Under-23s, QPR will compete in this season’s Premier League Cup – with our ties for the competition also announced.
Introduced to enhance the competitiveness of Under-23s football, this knockout competition runs alongside the regular league campaign.
Each side are allowed three over-age outfield players and a goalkeeper born before January 1st 1998 in the 2021/22 season.
Rangers will face Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers both home and away in the group stage of the tournament – which comprises eight groups of four clubs.
The top two teams will advance to the knockout stage – where the last-16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are all knockout ties. If the ties are level after 90 minutes, they go to extra-time and then penalties if the teams still can't be separated.
QPR’s home fixtures will take place at Wealdstone FC’s Grosvenor Vale – the home of our B Team.
