QPR midfielder Faysal Bettache has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the club.
The ball-winning engine roomer – who made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup against Bristol Rovers in August – has been with the R’s since U13 level.
And he is delighted to have agreed professional terms, having completed his three-year scholarship within the club’s academy.
“I’m happy to sign my first contract with Queens Park Rangers and hopefully it is the first of many,” the 18-year-old said.
“I made my debut at the start of this season – that went well – and hopefully I can carry on where I left off and progress from there.”
Although Bettache has only experienced a small amount of first-team football, he says he’ll be looking to catch the eye of new manager Mark Warburton once pre-season starts.
He said: “I want to get some sessions in with the first team and some appearances too.
“Everyone is excited and everyone has heard that he [the manager] is not scared to play young players and give them a chance. That can only help us and I believe in myself, so hopefully I can really impress him.”
