QPR FC Women have completed the signing of highly rated midfielder Andie Dickens.
Dickens, who has previously had spells at MK Dons Women’s and Watford Women, becomes manager Steve Quashie’s fifth summer signing, as the R’s continue to improve their squad ahead of the new campaign, which kicks off on the 13th of September away to Eastbourne Town.
“I am so happy to be joining QPR, I can’t wait for what the season brings, Dickens told www.qpr.co.uk.
“I haven’t been here long, but I can already tell that the squad is really good and I am excited to properly work with them.
“The management, the team, everyone here has been so welcoming, I feel like the environment will get the best out of me and help me improve my game.
“I have been at both MK Dons and Watford which were a higher level, but I have reached the point in my career that I need to find regular first team football and QPR will offer me that, as well as that they will help me better myself and that made here the place I wanted to come.
“We have all the right things in place to smash it this season and I can’t wait to get started.”
Left sided midfielder Dickens, becomes another piece to what will hopefully become a promotion winning puzzle this season and Quashie was delighted with the acquisition.
He said: “Andie is a left sided player, who is clever in possession, she knows how to drift into spaces and be influential during our attacking play, she is forward thinking and will become a key part of our attack this year.
“Andie arrives from a club in a higher division and with that comes some vital experience which will only develop us this season.”
“As well as that she is a great character to have in and around the dressing room, who enjoys playing football and that is something I love to see in a player.”
Welcome to QPR, Andie!
