DOMINIC Ball arrived at Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium prior to the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship campaign and has become an influential member of Mark Warburton’s squad.
Having started his footballing journey with Watford, it was during his time as a youngster with the Hornets that the midfielder first worked under R’s boss Warburton.
In 2011, at the age of 16, Ball moved to Tottenham’s academy where he continued to progress, while also enjoying loan stints with Cambridge United and eventually Glasgow Rangers, where a certain Mr. Warburton came calling once again.
Some impressive displays during his time at Ibrox saw Ball catch the eye of Rotherham United, but a tough time with the Millers saw him spending most of that spell out on loan, initially with Peterborough United and then Aberdeen.
Following his release from the New York Stadium in 2019, Ball was to join up with Warburton for the third time in his career and has since become a valued asset for the R’s.
The 2019/20 campaign would go on to be a successful one for the 26-year-old, as he made 35 appearances in all competitions in his first full season for Rangers, as well as notching his first goal in the blue and white hoops against Luton Town in July 2020.
The midfielder then followed this up with a fine 2020/21 campaign, as he racked up 41 appearances in all competitions for the R’s and scored a spectacular last-minute winner against Cardiff City in October.
Ahead of the final clash of the season, Ball was also named PFA Community Champion of the year, highlighting the impressive work he continues to do off the field as well as on it.
