WELSH international winger George Thomas arrived in west London following a tough spell with Leicester City prior to the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Having joined the Foxes in August 2017 after a hugely-successful spell with Coventry City, Thomas failed to make a huge impression at the King Power Stadium and arrived in W12 looking to kickstart his promising career.
Born in Leicester, Thomas came through the ranks at Coventry before making his professional debut as a 16-year-old in Sky Bet League One against Leyton Orient in January 2014.
He continued to make a growing impact for the Sky Blues over the new few seasons, before ending the 2016/17 campaign as the club’s top scorer with seven goals.
Thomas also notched the decisive goal at Wembley as Coventry overcame Oxford United 2-1 to lift the EFL Trophy.
The 24-year-old moved to his boyhood club, Leicester, in 2017 and despite featuring for their development squad, was never able to make a first-team appearance. During that time, he enjoyed stints with Scunthorpe United and ADO Den Haag.
Thomas moved to Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium in the summer of 2020 as he looked to reignite his career.
A useful 18 appearances in all competitions for the R’s in his first full season included five starts.
