About Michael

CANADIAN-born Michael Petrasso joined QPR’s youth set-up in 2012 after coming through at Toronto FC’s academy.

His first campaign with the club was spent with our EDS group and he became an integral part of the side before enjoying loan spells in 2013/14 with League One sides Oldham Athletic and Coventry City.

The Canadian U20 international scored twice in 15 appearances during his stay at Boundary Park, including the winner on his Football League debut at Gillingham in November 2013.

He made a further seven appearances for the Sky Blues. Petrasso earned his first call-ups to the QPR first team during March, named on the bench for our Championship clashes with Middlesbrough and Blackpool, before finally making his debut in our 3-2 win at Barnsley on the final day of the 2013/14 campaign.

The creative winger had two more loan spells at Leyton Orient and Notts County but gained a foothold in the Rangers first team in 2015/16, making eight appearances including three starts.

Injury kept him out of much of the 2016/17 season but he did return near the end of the campaign, making two appearances.
