TYLER Roberts is a product of West Bromwich Albion’s academy having first joined the Baggies at the tender age of seven.
Since then, the 23-year-old striker has made his West Brom bow - and a subsequent switch to Leeds saw him collect a Championship winner’s medal at the end of the 2019/20 season.
A versatile forward, Roberts’ West Brom debut came in a Premier League fixture against Liverpool in May 2016.
While at the Hawthorns, he also honed his skills with loan spells at Oxford United, Shrewsbury Town and Walsall - scoring five goals in 11 League One starts with the latter during the first half of the 2017/18 campaign.
With his contract running down at West Brom, Leeds made the Baggies an offer they couldn’t refuse in January 2018 - reported to be in the region of £2.5million - and Roberts was subsequently on his way to Elland Road.
His spell with Leeds has taken in over 100 appearances, with Tyler part of the team that took the Whites back to the Premier League following a 16-year exile.
He played 23 times during the club's Sky Bet Championship success in ’19/20, scoring four goals - one of which came against QPR in a 2-0 home success.
Roberts has since featured regularly in the top-flight, too - netting his first Premier League goal against Southampton in May 2021 in a 2–0 win at St. Mary's.
Loftus Road is now his next destination as the Welshman - who is a full international with his country - looks to tie down a place in Robert Page’s squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
A player with 19 senior caps to his name, Roberts was part of Wales’ squad for Euro 2020.
