MARK Warburton spent more than an hour answering Q&As with the club's academy players recently.

The R’s chief followed on from Les Ferdinand and Ebere Eze as QPR’s potential stars of the future were given the chance to put their questions to the boss.

Alex Carroll, QPR’s Academy Director, has been hosting the sessions for players right across the age ranges, from U8s to U18s.

Carroll told www.qpr.co.uk: “I’m confident that some of the questions were just as challenging as those that the manager is used to fielding in the tunnel post-match!

“The research undertaken by Curtis in the Under 11s was particularly impressive.

“Mark’s honesty was extremely well received and his positivity was palpable, especially when he spoke about his desire to provide opportunities to our academy players, if they earn the right.”

Waburton added: “It was a really enjoyable experience for me and there were some great questions asked by our youngsters.

“I very much look forward to playing my part in continuing to develop the relationship between the first team and the academy.

“There has certainly never been a better time to be an academy player.”
